VINH LONG - Transport

The NEW BUS STATION, 2.5km southwest of the center, sends hourly buses to Tra Vinh (30,000D; 1-3/4 hour) and Saigon (64,000D; 3hr). No direct buses go from Vinh Long to Sa Dec or Chau Doc. You can pick up buses from Saigon to Chau Doc on the south side of the My Thuan Bridge, a few kilometers west of the center.

In town you can pick up frequent No 23 bus heading to the CAN THO FERRY for 6000D to 10,000D; it’s free to walk onto the ferry, which leads directly to Can Tho. In Vinh Long, the #23 bus leaves frequently from the mini bus station in the center at 3 Thang 2 St, a few blocks north of the river.

A motorcycle taxi to Sa Dec is about 80,000D return.
